SANTA FE COMMUNITY COLLEGE TEACHING ZOO

SFCC Teaching Zoo is home to over 75 different species of animals and over 200 individual animals. The diverse collection contains both native and exotic species that everyone can enjoy. Some African favorites include the Springbok, African Grey Parrot and Caracal. These species and many other mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians are on display in a naturally wooded environment. Tours of the Teaching Zoo are provided seven days a week. The zoo is closed during semester breaks and on some holidays, please visit www.inst.sfcc.edu/~zoo/ or please call 352.395.5601.

ROSEWOOD DAY TOURS

This tour presents the history of the Rosewood Massacre of 1923 in an engaging and accurate way. These tours represent the people, events, and movements that have shaped the aftermath of the event. The tour guide combines scholastic integrity and documented family accounts. These Rosewood tours are unique and the route is very scenic. They are devoted to the history of North Central Florida.
